What is Molnupiravir?

Molnupiravir belongs to a class of drugs known as antivirals. It works by preventing the virus from spreading in the body. Molnupiravir is used to treat COVID-19 infection in people with mild to moderate symptoms who are at risk for a severe disease that could cause hospitalizations or death when other treatments are either unavailable or cannot be used. 

Purpose: Molnupiravir is an antiviral medication. It decreases the virus’s ability to infect other parts of the body. FDA has approved the medication Molnupiravir for treating COVID-19 in emergencies.

Available Dosage:

200mg Capsules

When to use?

Use to treat coronavirus disease.

Dosage:

• 800mg (Four 200mg Capsules) orally every 12 Hours for 5 days.
• Molnucap (Molnupiravir) can be taken with or without food.
• Take your daily dose of Molnupirvir at the same time each day.
• Use it only in accordance with the instructions of a qualified medical practitioner.

Advice to patients:

• Store at room temperature (up to 30°C)
• When taking Molnupiravir, call your doctor if you experience new symptoms, feel worse, or if your COVID-19 symptoms do not start to get better.
• Using Molnupiravir when pregnant could be harmful to the fetus.
