What is Fusidic Acid/Betamethasone Valerate?

Fusidic Acid and Betamethasone Valerate are two drugs that are combined in this product. In cases where bacterial infection is also present, it is used to treat specific skin disorders (types of rashes). Betamethasone is applied topically for the purpose of reducing swelling, itching, and redness. Fusidic acid is an antibiotic that prevents the development of specific bacteria.

Purpose: Several skin problems are treated with this medication (such as eczema, dermatitis, allergies, and rash). The swelling, itching, and redness that might develop in these kinds of situations are reduced with betamethasone.

When to use?

Use to treat skin infections caused by bacteria that cause redness, itching, swelling, and rashes.

Dosage:

Apply three to four times daily, or less frequently if the dressing is being used.

Advice to Patients:

• Wash your hands properly before and after usage.
• Apply as prescribed by your doctor.
• If a dose is missed, use it as soon as you can.

Precautions:

• For external use only.
• This cream should not be applied to the affected areas of a child’s diaper.
• On children’s skin, do not use this cream for more than five days.
• Applying this product to leg ulcers, irritated skin, and broken, inflamed, or taped skin is not recommended.
• Avoid contact with eyes.
